Astrantia major'Roma'
Astrantia major 'Roma' is a lovely fully hardy, herbaceous perennial. It has rich pink flowers that fade as they age and lush green foliage. It will flower for most of the summer if older flowers are cut back. It was raised by Piet Oudolf, a favourite designer, who uses it a lot with grasses for a naturalistic plant scheme.
It is also a great cut flower.

I love it as a cut flower as it will last a good lenght of time in a vase and looks great in a wild flower arrangement
