Convallaria majalis
This is a really beautiful, delicate spring flowering hardy herbaceous perennial. Dainty, slightly arching stems appear in spring with tiny, white, nodding, bell shaped flowers. It has such an amazing scent and is used extensively in flower arranging. Great woodland plant and loved by bees. It has also been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit for it's outstanding performance in the garde. What is not to love?

Cultivation
This is a woodland plant, so prefers humus rich, moist but well drained soil. It will tolerate damp. Full to part shade.
Perfect for planting under trees and shrubs. A mulch of rooten leaves would be beneficial in the autumn, if this does not occur naturally where it has been planted.
