Cultivation
This grass prefers moderately fertile soil, moist but well drained soil in full sun. It will not enjoy sitting very wet in the winter time. If growing for winter structure, cut back the dead leaves in Early spring before the new growth starts to appear.

They work well planted en masse or in a mixed herbaceous border, winter gardens. Flower heads can be used in wild, natural flower arrangements.
