Evergreen perennial grass with dark green, leathery leaves. Starts to turn orange brown during the summer and into the winter.  Has purplish, green spikes of flowers early autumn.  Great grass that does well in both full sun and shadier conditions.  It's relaxed habit brings movement to the garden.

    Like to grow in fertile, moist well drained soil in full sun or partial shade.

    Comb out any old leaves in the spring, ready for the new leaves coming through. Cut back only if necessary, but only during April - July months.  Will self seed.
