Verbena hastata ‘Alba’

£5.00Price

Verbena hastata 'Alba' is a clump forming herbaceous perennial.  Tall stems bear pure white flowers mid summer through to early autumn above light green leaves.  More hardier than other Verbenas. Self seeds really well. Lovely flower for cutting.

  • Cultivation

Really needs to be in full sun to do well and prefers moderately fertile soil that is moist but well drained.  It will not enjoy sitting wet in cold winter months.

Propagate by division and look out for seedlings.

Cut back to the ground early spring.  If they start to get straggly and tired, I cut them back to encourage more growth

  • Height and Spread

    1.2 x .60

  • Great For

Naturalistic gardens, wildlife gardens, cottage gardens, flower beds and cutting gardens
